About Me
I think that it is time I put together an about of some sort. Actually it has been on my mind for a while now and I just can't put it off any longer.
First, I am very happy that you are looking around my blog. I never thought that I would have one, but it is nice to know that people are interested in it now that I have one.
My name is Amber.
I studied to become a kindergarten teacher and it has been a rewarding choice, though people often over look it when choosing a career. Yet, it started for me with a simple question: "What do I have to give to children?"
I think most parents and educators ask themselves questions like that.
I had a rough childhood with a lot of ups and downs that played out through my parent's divorce and it made me sensitive to how children see the world around them when I got older. It was a eye opening day when I realized that I wanted to go into education. And it has always played a big role in my life. School was the only constant and one that I could excel at if I applied myself.
I want the children to have firm roots and feel safe and secure, but it's also means that they need to be given the room to unfold freely – and that reflects my philosophy so beautifully.
Yet, here on my blog you won't be finding any of that. I won't be focusing on the topic of education, however, instead I want to focus on normal everyday life.
That is why you will find a lot of little stories, you can see them as small windows into my life that will hopefully bring joy as well.
That wasn't so hard after all. 🙂
